Three Straight Days of Walking

So now I'm into 3 straight days of walking! Today I walked for 45 minutes with Nathan. The shin splints are still sore, but I'm getting the hang of it - and also trying to stretch more!

And less you think I'm super motived, I do have an outside motivator . . . the condo next to us is doing some major remodeling and the POUNDING starts at 8 am and goes for most of the day! So it does kind of drive me to just get out of the house and do something so that I don't have to hear the noise! Maybe going out for a walk will become a habit before they are done (not that I want them to continue - hopefully they will be done soon!).

But I am enjoying getting out to take walks with Nathan - he usually sleeps and I'm able to get out and see the "usual" things that go on in our little neighborhood - i.e. several gas trucks driving around with their loud horns, competing for business, a herd of goats passing by tended by a young boy and his dog, seeing the mountains (I have a pretty good view of the side of Pichincha), random construction projects with old trucks pulling up loaded with cement blocks or other supplies, and driver's ed cars with students, and the ever once in a while street dog running by! Never a dull moment. I don't even need headphones and music to keep me entertained!
